BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 - a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what is needed for the life stage Adolescence (9-18 years-olds) If you are following my SoW this is Week 4 is the delivery of all aspects covering growth and development in the second life stage, childhood 3-8 years. The pace has to be reasonably fast to get the content delivered, there is one PowerPoint you can use split for different lessons. All the spec content is included in one presentation with 52 slides which have animation so text is delivered in chunks. These cover the expected key characteristics in each of the PIES classifications. This will allow the lesson to finish on a slide that suits you, however, to keep up with the SoW the whole of the below will need to be delivered in one week. T-Level Health 2024-2025 complete pick-up-and-run teaching package for B2.20 , B2.21 , B2.22 and B1.28 If you are following my SoW it is for weeks beginning 2nd and 9th December 2024. Included is a 155 slide presentation which you can stop-start, set slides as homework, encourages class discussions and has embedded YouTube clips to engage learners. Exam practice is embedded in the presentation when a topic is covered alongside this is a 29 page booklet with guided for note taking. This package is for teachers delivering the new 2022 spec for BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care Component 2. For teachers following my SoW, this is for week 31 after the completion of Component 1. There is one presentations, one is 26 slides and covers both geographical barriers and intellectual barriers and ways to overcome both as per PSA Task 3, with applied examples. There is guidance and options for students note taking which will be a source of reference in the PSA. Students will be expected to know a range of potential barriers but the focus is on financial covered in the spec below and be able to recognise which barrier(s) apply and the most suitable ways to overcome these. In addition there is also suggestions how multiple barriers exist for one person. Homework is set as the case studies they do not cover in the lesson so they have the full range from the spec. The package covers the below spec content; Financial barriers – charging for services, cost of transport, loss of income while accessing services: – ways to overcome financial barriers: NHS exemption certificates, NHS Low Income Scheme, NHS vouchers for eye tests, glasses and lenses, NHS Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS), charitable schemes such as community transport This weeks teaching is a smaller content input so there is task 1, Task 2 and Task 3 Mock exams to give students the opportunity to apply thier learning for Learning Aim A into practice exam questions.
